Hello, my name is Rushan. I am a senior at Mountain House High School in Mountain House, California. I have a passion for everything STEM especially the field of engineering. I have run multiple STEM-related programs in my local community and continue to do so. One of these programs is ‘LEGO at the Library’, which is a program that specializes in assisting kids in rural areas with building STEM-related LEGO creations. The program is free and bricks along with instructions are provided to the kids. The program has also expanded to more libraries near my hometown, a total of three at the moment. Another program I run is an introduction to robotics program that is also run at my local library. I am captain of one of the robotics teams at my high school, and a passionate boy scout working on my Eagle Scout Project to earn my Eagle Rank. Through my leadership positions in both robotics and Boy Scouts, I was able to merge the two into a robotics workshop for my Boy Scout troop. I mentor an FLL(First LEGO League) team in Mountain House, which is a robotics league for elementary and middle school-aged kids.
